Life’s Three Most Important Questions in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf – At some point over the years, you have probably asked life’s three most important questions: Where did I come from? What is my purpose? And where am I going? Allow me to share with you the answer to each of these questions.

The first question is where did I come from? Of course you know that, physically, you are the product of your mother and father. But, you may have wondered how human kind came to be? Do we exist by chance or were we created with a purpose? How did we come to exist on planet earth?

Many people have attempted to give answers to this question: Evolutionists say that humans evolved from animals and lesser forms of life. Others say that life originated on another planet and then was somehow brought to earth. And some people are convinced that we are all an accident, a cosmic joke, and that there really is no rhyme or reason for our existence.

But do you know what the truth is? The Bible says in Acts 17:24-26, that God “made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth…he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.”

We see from the Bible that the human race was formed by an all-powerful Creator. We are not the product of random chance or evolution. God gave us our life, and everything that we have, and he decided where and when we would live.

The second most important question is What is my purpose? God did not create us and then leave us on Earth to wander aimlessly through life. We actually have a purpose for which to live. Verses 27 and 28 of Acts 17 say that every human’s purpose is to “seek the Lord, if haply (perhaps) they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being.”

That is your purpose — to search for and begin a relationship with God. God said in Jeremiah 29:13, “ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

The third most important question is where am I going? Unlike the first two questions, however, the answer to this question depends on you. This answer ultimately rests on whether or not you decide to fulfill your purpose of beginning a relationship with God, your Creator.

Because of our sins, the bad things that you and I have done, we are separated from God and we are on the road to death and hell. Because of our sins, we die physically and go to the grave and we die spiritually and go to hell. Hell is a place of eternal punishment and torment. But hell is not the only eternal destination there is — there is also Heaven. Heaven is a place of eternal life, joy, peace, and love where God himself resides.

These are the two places where you can go when you die. God wants you to begin a relationship with Him so that you can go to Heaven to be with Him when you die. To go to hell, you don’t have to do anything else — just keep living the way you have been and you will end up in Hell. But to go to Heaven, you must make a decision to place your faith and trust in God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you want to go to Heaven? Allow me to show you how:

First, you must realize and admit that you are a sinner, just as I am, and that you have broken God’s laws just as I have. In fact, I am the chief of sinners, so don’t think that you’re alone. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 7:20: “For there is not a just man upon earth that doeth good, and sinneth not.” Romans 3:23 reads: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, you must understand that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…” This is both spiritual death and physical death. We die physically and go to the grave because of sin and we die spiritually and go to hell because of sin.

Third, you must understand that you are on the road to hell because of your sins. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” The Bible says in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Fourth, you must accept the fact that you cannot do anything to save yourself! The Bible states in Ephesians 2: 8, 9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Fifth, you must accept the fact that God loves you more than you love yourself, and that He wants to save you from hell. Because of God’s love for you, he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for your sin. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Because God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins, we can live with God in Heaven for all eternity after we die.

Finally, with these facts in mind, you must repent of your sins, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and pray and ask Him to come into your heart and save you this very moment. The Bible states in the book of Romans 10:9, 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you are willing to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, please pray with me the following simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today and forever. Amen.

Dear friend, if you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour!
